Frequently asked questions
We breed different generations and sizes of Cavapoos.
Yes, all our parent dogs are health tested before any breeding takes place. This is to be sure that we are breeding dogs that are compatible to one another.
Yes, we offer a one-year genetic health guarantee.
We do not remove any dew claws. There is a large body of evidence showing the importance of dew claws on dogs.
All our puppies are raised in our home, with children of all ages who give daily love and care. We follow BAB Program and Puppy Culture Protocols with Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction from days 3-16. At 4 weeks old we begin potty training and at 6 weeks old we begin crate training. Throughout each of these we also do touch and sound desensitization as well as offer different tactile objects. Our number one goal is to set our puppies up for success.
Yes! About 95% of our puppies live out of state. We have a flight nanny who can fly with your puppy in the cabin and deliver to your nearest major airport.

Due to the potential spread of parvovirus, and other known illnesses, we are not allowing in-person visits until puppy pick up day. We will do our best to send videos and pictures and are more than happy to do a Facetime call for you to meet them.
We are also very active on our Instagram page @sunnysideminidoodles and would love for you to follow along!
Puppies can go home at 8 weeks old! Sorry, there are no exceptions to letting them go home sooner.
Yes! All of our puppies are vet checked, dewormed, and up to date on vaccinations before leaving our care.
We do not microchip our puppies. The growth that takes place in the first 16 weeks of life can cause the microchip to be expelled or migrate. We recommend waiting until their last set of puppy vaccines to have a chip placed.
No. All our puppies are sold on a strict spay/neuter contract, unless otherwise noted by the breeder. Official veterinarian documentation will be required within one year.
No. Dogs need to reach full sexual maturity before being spayed or neutered. We do not recommend this procedure before one year old.
We work with our puppies daily to make them confident, well-adjusted, and trusting. We will introduce them to crates, start them on potty training, and will start with recall using positive reinforcement. They will not come fully crate trained, potty trained, or leash trained. There will be a transition period and will likely be accidents in your home - they are little babies after all.
We only breed designed (mixed-breed) dogs, which are not recognized by the AKC. Your puppy will not come with any registration. There are mixed breed registrations out there, but they do not require any documentation to prove breed, so we do not register our puppies through any association.
Your puppy comes with health tested parents, raised on a curriculum, a small bag of the food they have been eating (enough to transition to whatever you like), a blanket and toy that smells like their mom and littermates, and a copy of their vaccination records.
Non-shedding dogs need regular grooming. We do not recommend bathing your puppy more than once a week, to avoid dry skin and matting. Grooming should take place every 5-12 weeks, depending on your preference. Regular brushing helps keep your dog soft and mat-free.
Due to the nature of mixed-breed dogs, we do not guarantee adult size or coats. We will have a great idea based off both parents and genetics, but unfortunately cannot guarantee.
They do not! We only have a few of our breeding dogs who live with us. All our other moms and dads live with amazing guardian families near Salt Lake City, Utah.
A guardian home is a permanent home for one of our dogs. They live their best lives with another family, while we retain breeding rights.
If you live within 30 minutes of Salt Lake City, Utah and are interested, fill out our puppy application or contact us!
